Delirium Cafe is based at the side of the Ij, with an splendind view to the harbour and meters away from Muziekgebouw and places like Hannekes Boom and Mediamatic Eten.
It has an after office type fun atmosphere with loud music and a comfortable and welcoming decor. The mind blowing things is their variety of beers, focusing on Belgium drafts, but still counting over 800 different beers in total.
Their staff is cheerful, friendly and extremely knowledgable and helpful. They also serve well made food at a reasonable price.
The most noteworthy thing?
Despite their huge dock, you cannot actually dock in it, as its reserved for Tourist Canal boats only. (Hopefully, they’ll manage to change that in the future…) Yet, as the proper Captain you are, you’ll manage to tie your lines somewhere near.
Captain’s delight: The rilled Ribeye with grilled vegetables, roseval potatoes, and a pepper / abbey beer sauce
Best time to drop by: During the afternoon.
Docking facilities: Not available. You’ll need to tie your lines somewhere near.
